The 2022 rally season is fast approaching and although it will look a little different to our regular season, we'll be out on the stages shortly.
This year the OPRC will consist of 6 events, all of which will count towards the Championship.
Two National events will host an OPRC double header this year, as The Rally of the Tall Pines did in 2021, a test of endurance if both events are entered.
Having been postponed from it's usual February slot, the 2022 Rallye Perce-Neige de Maniwaki will host the first double header event on April 1-2, just over the provincial border in Quebec. Be sure to read the Supplementary Regulations regarding the regional events - both OPRC (regional) events will be scored separately and will count towards event 1 and event 2 in the Championship.
Following that, we will have a 4 month gap before the standalone regional event, the Black Bear Rally, takes place in August, in Catchacoma. Next up, Rallye Defi Petite Nation in Montpellier, QC in September, and rounding up the year with a double header again in November, at the Rally of the Tall Pines.
Unfortunately the Lanark Highlands Forest Rally will not take place in 2022 but look for that event to bounce back for the 2023 season.
For the second year running, we have fantastic support from our sponsors - Enercare, Clarington Hyundai and Ontario Motor Sales - who will once again provide a prize fund for eligible OPRC competitors this season - more details still to come on that front.
Let's see those Rallye Perce-Neige entries flowing in & we'll see you out there!
