The Ontario Performance Rally Championship is back in 2023 with 5 events on the calendar at 5 different rallies. Running from February to November, the 2023 calendar features a number of regular stops along with the return of a classic, the Shannonville Stages & Sprint, for the first time since 2014.
This year teams will face the frigid temperatures of Maniwaki, QC. With Rallye Perce Neige returning to its traditional place on the calendar, February 3rd-4th, we get to start the championship with a true winter rally
April 1st the championship arrives in Shannonville, Ontario with the revival of the Shannonville Stages & Sprint. Based at the Shannonville Motorsports Park, the Shannonville Stages & Sprint will be predominantly a tarmac rally.
After competing on tarmac, teams will have to switch to gravel tires for the Black Bear Rally situated in the middle of the calendar and dead middle of summer, on August 12, in Catchacoma, Ontario.
A month later the championship sticks with gravel roads but moves back to Quebec. The fourth stop on the calendar, Rallye Defi Petite Nation, is on September 8th-9th and starts in Montpellier.
The road comes to an end with the fifth and final stop in Bancroft, ON for the Lincoln Electric Rally of the Tall Pines on November 24th-25th. As for the surface of the road, your guess is as good as mine.
