2023 OPRC Prize Fund

RallySport Ontario is excited to announce a prize fund for the 2023 Ontario Performance Rally Championship, thanks to our generous sponsors!

Funds will be allocated to the August standalone regional event (The 2023 Black Bear Rally) and the year-end championships. The goals are to boost participation in the Championship and to help encourage new competitors into the sport.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Drivers must have a CARS or ARA speed factor of 75.0 or lower as of January 1, 2023 to be eligible for prizes.

  • If a driver has both a CARS and ARA speed factor, the higher factor will be used to determine eligibility.

  • Speed factors that change throughout the season will have no effect on eligibility. RSO will use speed factors as at a fixed date (Jan 1, 2023).

  • Novice drivers are also eligible for Overall and 2WD prizes.

  • In the case of a tie-breaker, the OPRC Ruleset Section 5.7 will apply. If after the ruleset has been applied there is still a tie for a position, the money being awarded for that position will be split 50/50.

  • Drivers must also be a member of a RallySport Ontario Affiliated Club – Clubs are listed on the RSO & OPRC websites. www.rallysport.on.ca & www.oprc.online . For 2023, Club membership must be obtained before August 1st 2023, to be eligible for the prize fund. You don’t need to be a resident of Ontario to join a RSO Affiliated Club.

  • New for 2023: Competitors must compete in at least one OPRC event based in Ontario in 2023, in order to be eligible for the prize fund.

Thanks to our sponsors for their support of the OPRC:
